Premium Program vs Independent Program
Spirit’s Premium Program offers a complete, full service option to cooperating Host Companies. Spirit works with you to identify a candidate that matches well with your company and assists in the development of a Training and Internship Placement Plan (T/IPP), which meets the needs of all parties and aligns with federal regulatory requirements. Spirit also takes care of all of the paperwork with regards to visa support documentation, provides medical insurance and 24/7 support to participants and cooperating Host Companies during the program.
Spirit’s Independent Program option is available to Host Companies who have already identified an Intern or Trainee and have already developed a T/IPP that meets with regulatory requirements. In this case, Spirit provides visa support documentation, medical insurance and 24/7 support to participants and cooperating Host Companies during the program.
There is no cost for Host Companies to participate in Spirit’s Internship Program. Host Companies are encouraged to compensate their Interns and Trainees, at a minimum meeting Department of Labor Requirements and meeting or exceeding that provided to American Interns or Trainees in the same position. Please remember that Spirit Interns and Trainees travel internationally just to participate in the program and have a number of expenses to cover including room and board, travel expenses, etc.
Host companies are encouraged to identify affordable and safe accommodations for their Interns and Trainees. While not required, housing assistance often results in better housing placements and in turn, more satisfied, happy and productive program participants.
