What is a Job Fair like?

A Job Fair is an opportunity for U.S. employers to conduct one on one interviews with J1 Work/Travel participants to secure and hire seasonal staff. It is a great way to create interest in the jobs abroad, and have face to face contact with interested applicants. The employer always has the final decision on which participants they would like to hire. We find that employers who attend the Job Fair to hire their seasonal staff have a better overall experience with our international participants.

How does the Job Fair work?

Once you have decided to attend and are approved by Spirit, we will give you more details about your trip. Below is a sample Job Fair schedule:

Monday, August 16th	Arrive in Florianopolis, Brazil
Tuesday, August 17th	Free Time/Sightseeing
Wednesday, August 18th	Job Fair/Interviews
Thursday, August 19th	Travel to Lima, Peru

Saturday, August 21st	Job Fair/Interviews
Sunday, August 22nd	Depart Lima
Monday, August 23rd	Arrive in USA

What is Included?

Employers who plan to hire 15 or more Spirit J-1 Work/Travel participants in one season have the opportunity to qualify for a program of:

Spirit-arranged round-trip airfare
3-4 hotel nights per destination
Coordinated interviews in each city
City Tours & Group Dinners
Per diem for miscellaneous expenses
Any required visas
Spirit-arranged airport transfers

What are the Costs Involved?

Hire 15 or more participants and qualify for the full 3 night program in one country at NO CHARGE.
Hire 25 or more participants and qualify for the 4 night program in one country at NO CHARGE.
Hire 40-50 (varies based on Job Fair) or more participants and qualify for two country stops (when available) at NO CHARGE.

INTRODUCTORY OFFER - Companies new to Spirit Job Fairs qualify to send one representative for the 3 night program in one country at NO CHARGE when hiring 10 or more participants.

Costs not included in the Job Fair reimbursement:

Airport taxis or shuttles arranged outside of the Spirit-arranged airport transportation, individual taxis, and miscellaneous expenses.

How do I Sign Up?

Complete an Employer Application and indicate your interest in attending the Job Fair. A Spirit representative will contact you after receiving your application and send you a booking form to finalize your attendance at the Job Fair.
