Virtual Exchange Group Leader
Become a Virtual Exchange Group Leader! Group Leaders are integral to the mission of Spirit’s virtual exchange programming. If you have an outgoing personality, a demonstrated background in leadership and an interest in engaging in conversation with new friends around the world, this is the opportunity for you.
Virtual Exchange Group Leaders are American university students trained to lead virtual exchanges with international university students and have a constructive, respectful and authentic dialogue on various topics of mutual interest. Group Leaders do their best to ensure all participants feel free to express themselves and are heard by others, respecting certain agreed-upon ground rules and following program curriculum as well as the group’s needs and interests. Virtual Exchange Group Leaders are tech savvy, good listeners, multi-taskers and natural team leaders. International experience or a demonstrated interest in international affairs is a plus.
Spirit’s Virtual Exchange Programs are set to begin in September 2020. Hours vary from 4-20 hours a month, with schedules available early morning or late evening to accommodate the various time zones of international participants. All work is remote. Group Leaders need to have access to a strong, reliable internet connection and a quiet, private place to work remotely. Interested applicants should send their resume and a link to a short (max two minute) video of themselves describing why they are qualified and interested in being a Group Leader to firstname.lastname@example.org.
