Spirit offers a variety of job fair options for qualifying employers who prefer to personally interview participants before making a final hiring decision.
Virtual Job Fairs
Virtual job fairs are available for employers who want to take advantage of the convenience of web-based interviews. Qualifying employers who hire 10 or more participants per season are invited to Spirit’s office in Chicago for candidate interviews, advanced employer training and to get to know Spirit’s office staff who work closely with employers and participants during the program. Employers may also choose to conduct web based interviews and make hiring decisions from the comfort of their own office with no minimum hiring requirement.
Here is how it works (click to show):
Before the Fair:

Job Fair Reservation — Contact Spirit to confirm your hiring needs and a tentative job fair date and time frame. At least six weeks advance notice of the fair is recommended to ensure proper recruitment and candidate screening.

Recruitment and Pre-screening — Spirit recruits and conducts pre-screening interviews of participants interested your positions.

Interview Scheduling — Spirit will provide you with a finalized interview schedule and profiles for each participant. Participant interviews generally last 10 – 15 minutes each.

Training — Spirit provides training on the best practices for conducting virtual interviews, a suggested list of interview questions and answers any questions you may have before the fair.
Day of the Fair:

Spirit Support — Spirit will check in with you to test interview connections and provide ongoing support throughout the interview process.
Post Fair:

Debriefing — Spirit will discuss your interviewing experience, ask any necessary questions and confirm your hires.

Next Steps — Spirit will walk you through the necessary next steps in the hiring process.

Attend an International Job Fair
Spirit organizes job fairs every year to interview and hire seasonal staff for our employers. Qualifying employers are invited to attend our job fairs and experience the flavor of their future employees’ home culture. Click here to view our Job Fair Flyer for more information.
Here is how it works (click to show):
Spirit advertises your positions before the event and pre-screens participants for English levels and appropriate program motivation. Employers who hire a minimum of 20* Spirit Work and Travel participants can qualify for the following program in one country:
- Spirit-arranged round-trip airfare
- Three hotel nights*
- Pre-arranged airport transfers
- City tour and group dinners
- One day of interviews*
*Note: When hiring 25 or more participants, an extra night’s hotel stay and an additional day of interviewing is included.
Sample International Job Fair Itinerary:
- Day 1: Depart US
- Day 2: City Tour
- Day 3: Interviews
- Day 4: Interviews (Only if hiring more than 25 participants)
- Day 5: Depart for US
