Below is the complete 2026 J-1 Teacher webinars schedule.
2026 J-1 Teacher Webinars Schedule
July 27 – Teacher Panel: Preparing to Teach in the US
Hear directly from experienced international Teachers who have participated in the BridgeUSA Teacher Program. During this panel discussion, you will learn what to expect in your Host School, hear practical classroom tips, and receive advice on adjusting to life in the United States. This is a great opportunity to learn from fellow educators who have successfully navigated the program.
July 30 – Program 101 (Pre-Arrival)
Before you travel, join us for a comprehensive overview of your program requirements. We will review important information about your J-1 visa, arrival expectations, required documentation, and what to do during your first days in the United States. This webinar is highly recommended for all Teachers preparing to depart for their Host Schools.
August 5 – Culture Shock & Mental Health
Moving to a new country is exciting, but it can also come with challenges. This session explores the stages of culture shock, strategies for maintaining your mental well-being, and ways to build a positive support network while participating in your cultural exchange experience. Understanding these topics can help you make the most of your time in the United States.
August 14 – US Medical Care & Insurance
Healthcare in the United States may be different from what you are accustomed to in your home country. During this webinar, we will explain how your medical insurance works, when to seek medical care, and what to expect when visiting a doctor or healthcare facility. Having this knowledge before you need it can save time, reduce stress, and help you make informed decisions.
September 2 – Cross-Cultural Activity Report
One of the most rewarding parts of the BridgeUSA Teacher Program is sharing your culture while learning about American traditions. This webinar explains the Cross-Cultural Activity Report requirement, offers ideas for meaningful activities, and walks you through the reporting process. Completing this requirement helps demonstrate the impact of your cultural exchange experience.
January 6, 2027 – Renewal Application 101
Interested in extending your teaching experience? This webinar provides an overview of the renewal application process, eligibility requirements, important deadlines, and the steps you will need to take if you plan to participate in another program year.
