Spirit Cultural Exchange had the chance to travel for a J-1 Work and Travel cultural activity in Wisconsin Dells, and it was truly a trip to remember. There were participants from different sponsors and countries that came together to represent the true connection of community for the J-1 Work and Travel Program. The Sports Night event perfectly blended professional connection with genuine fun. The event was hosted by the Wisconsin Dells Community Support Group (CSG) and brought together nearly 175 participants hosted by multiple employers throughout the Dells for an evening indoors to escape the cold weather.
From the moment the event began, the energy was high. This J-1 Work and Travel cultural activity in Wisconsin Dells featured an open gym setup where participants could jump in and play a variety of sports. Basketballs were bouncing, volleyball games were in full swing, pickleball popped up throughout the gym, and soccer matches stayed exciting all night. They showed true sportsmanship and welcomed everyone to join teams and have fun. There was truly something for everyone, regardless of skill level. Participants enjoyed pizza, lemonade, and chocolates while sitting with friends and making new ones.
What made this J-1 Work and Travel cultural activity in Wisconsin Dells especially memorable was the opportunity to interact with so many different participants in such a relaxed, informal environment. Sports have a way of breaking down barriers, and it was easy to strike up conversations, laugh, and connect while playing alongside people who might not have otherwise met.

It was refreshing to step outside the usual work routine and engage with others through friendly competition and teamwork. Wisconsin Dells provided a great backdrop for the event.
