Last month, Spirit Cultural Exchange representative Grace attended the BridgeUSA Welcome Picnic in Wisconsin Dells, where she had the opportunity to meet approximately fifty Spirit participants.
Despite the rainy weather, the BridgeUSA Welcome Picnic in Wisconsin Dells had a great turnout at the International Residence Hall. Participants and community members gathered indoors for an evening of food, live music, and entertainment. One of the highlights of the event was a magician who kept everyone smiling and laughing. It was wonderful to see participants connecting with one another, sharing stories about their summer, and making new friends while enjoying a welcoming community event.
The BridgeUSA program is about much more than a summer job. Through the J-1 visa program, participants have the opportunity to experience American culture while sharing their own traditions and perspectives with others. Events like the BridgeUSA Welcome Picnic in Wisconsin Dells encourage meaningful cultural exchange by bringing together participants, local residents, and organizations that support the program.
